List an Item
You can list an item in fewer than five (5) short steps:

Below is an overview of The Basics and The Specifics.
The Basics:
Title, Subtitle and Category:
In this first step, you will provide the main information about your listing. Initially, we will ask you for a headline and subtitle. Be creative and be sure to use words that you know people will choose when searching for your listing. We will also ask you to select a category for your listing. This will determine where users will find your listing and a place where we may ask additional questions under The Specifics.
Pricing Term and Price:
You will need to select a pricing term for your rental-how you want to be compensated. Then, you will be asked for the rate for each term. For example, you may want to offer a vacation property on a daily rate, so this is where you can enter the dollar amount per day.
Best Offers:
If you are flexible on your price and interested in obtaining best offers, check the box to let visitors know you are flexible.
Available to Purchase:
You may want to tell the WhyBuy.com users that you would be interested in selling your item. Check the box here and list a purchase price if you would be open to the idea of selling your item.
Guestbook Feature:
As an owner, you have the option of enabling the guestbook feature. If enabled, users can leave comments on your listing, if and only if they have already clicked the E-mail Owner button in order to contact you.
Note: The guestbook feature can only be enabled or disabled. Comments cannot be deleted or edited after submission. Owners can elect to create a new listing, thus creating a new guestbook from scratch, but WhyBuy.com cannot edit or remove comments from a listing.
Description:
The description is where you want to provide all the details of your rental item or property. Be sure to include every detail possible. Take some time to review other listings to get an idea of what type of information to include. The description area can only accept text-based information.
Fast Facts:
WhyBuy.com users want to quickly find what they are looking for and will often just skim through search results. Fast Facts is an area for you to provide five (5) important, but short, headlines about your item. This can be, and most often is, repetitive information found in the description or later under The Specifics. List the most important facts about the item or property and you may want to include information about a special rate or offer.
For example:
Vacation Rental: 5 Bedroom Home, Walking Distance to Beach, Recently Renovated!, Availability this Summer!, Home Theater included!
Automobile: New Tires, Mechanic Tested, Low Mileage, Great AC, CD/MP3 Player
Item Location:
This is where you state the location of your item or property. This will determine where your listing will appear when users search by location. For listings in the United States, a five-digit ZIP code is required. If you are outside of the U.S., Country and City are required.
Terms of Rental:
You will need to provide the complete terms of agreement for your item or property. Describe the conditions for renting this item. Include how the item might be picked up, how payment is accepted, and how the item or property will be returned. Be sure to consider what will happen if the item is returned late or damaged.
Web Address:
Each listing is able to have one external link. This is where you can provide an external link where users might find additional information about your item or property.
The Specifics
Here we will ask more detailed questions about your listing, e.g. concerning vacation rentals and apartments; we will ask how many bedrooms the property has, etc. This information is vital for those searching listing at WhyBuy.com.
